After a few days in Lima, we flew over to Cuzco. The city is situated at an altitude of 3326m and used to be the capital of the Inca empire, which once ranged from Quito in Ecuador to Santiago in Chile. It is also considered as the archaeological capital of the Americas.

We are about to start a 3 week trip to Peru. Our trip will start in the capital, the cosmopolitan city of Lima. Afterwards we will go to Cuzco in the Andes mountains, where we are also planning to visit Machu Picchu and the Rainbow Mountain. We will also spend a few days in Arequipa, Peru's second biggest city. Finally the plan is to soak some sun in Máncora in the north of country.
